“let’s bring the arkh project to /v/, that’s an awesome idea”
lol it’s like you’re purposely trying to fail now

Haaaasasaaaaaaaàaaaaàaaaaaaaaà

ahahaha
get a loaf of this trolle

Okay, you wanna put a barrier breaking subject in a game, weave the exposition in the game, don’t EXPLAIN it! A game’s supposed to be fun, not a fucking brochure!

none of the things listed are the reasons either game was or was not funded, double fine is a professional studio that knows how to pitch an idea and created a very charming and humorous pitch video to push that idea
i don’t particularly like point-click adventure games but i like double fine’s work so i backed it, i know that they will be able to make it entertaining
also they just broke $1,000,000 funding wowwww!!!

both games: don’t actually cost anything to produce, they’re video games not solid gold statues. why do people fund this shit.

That’s a very naive statement! Even if you only had one of each artist/designer/programmer/musician working on this project, which is planning on taking around 8 months, you would be looking at around $150,000 at least if you’re paying them in-house at a California living wage. Given that Double Fine is a well-established company with dozens of employees, they will definitely have multiple artists and programmers, not to mention a project leader, public relations, etc. etc. publishing a game isn’t cheap unless you’re doing it in your personal free time, which Double Fine is not.

people don’t like change D:

….I love how this jackass complains about stereotypes, then turns around and says older adults have no right to play video games in their leisure time.
